We welcome you to Raza Jamia Masjid (RJM)

RJM opened on the 15th December 2017. The origins of this mosque can be traced back to 1969, when the first mosque of Accrington was established on Blackburn Road.

Apart from daily prayers, we also have a community centre, which is aimed at promoting peace and community cohesion.

RJM is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week to allow Muslims to pray as and when needed.

RJM is funded purely by donations from the public. As you can imagine, running RJM requires much care and maintenance. If you would like to support and help RJM, then please donate below.

DAILY ṢALĀH PRAYERS

Offer your five times daily ṣalāh here. We have prayer rooms for both men and women. These prayers take place in the downstairs prayer halls.

FRIDAY JUMU’AH ṢALĀH

Every Friday, Jumu’ah ṣalāh, is held upstairs in the main prayer hall.

Women are welcome to attend the Friday Jumu’ah prayer.

TARĀWĪḤ & ‘ITIKĀF

We hold a special prayers service throughout the whole of Ramaḍān, offering full twenty rak’āt and completion of the Holy Qurān. Some members of the community volunteer to stay in prayer and seclusion during this time.

‘EID CELEBRATIONS

There are two annual key festivals that are celebrated in Islam – one is Eid-ul-Fitr and the other is Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadhan and Eid-ul-Adha marks the Festival of Sacrifice.

MUSLIM MARRIAGES (NIKĀḤ)

RJM is the perfect venue for Muslim weddings. RJM provides all the special care and attention everyone deserves for their special day.
